Pine
Pine wood is the standard wood choice for our projects. It is a fairly soft wood with a heavy grain pattern and rustic knots. It takes stain fairly well and has good strength. It is the most economical choice for the budget conscious customer. |
Alder
Alder, pictured above, is available in two different varieties. Superior Alder (upper left) and Knotty Alder (upper right) are both hard woods that are great for any project. They stain beautifully and offer a more durable surface than our basic pine. |
Hard Maple
Hard Maple is a great economical choice if you need a highly durable surface, such as a dining table top. This is a very hard wood with a slightly less pronounced grain pattern throughout. It accepts stain and finish very well. |
Walnut
Black Walnut is a premium hard wood that is highly sought after for its figured grain pattern. The beauty and finish of this wood is unmatched. This is considered one of the most durable surfaces for table tops and desks where traffic and use are a daily occurance. |
